Image hosting experiment
So I've been thnking I wanted to post picutes here for a while now. I finally thought to google "free image hosting" and came across ImageVenue. Let's see if it works.
Here is a picture of my dog Ollie, on the first day we took him home.

Not so cool, looks like this service sucks after all, need to find something better.
Huzzah! Flickr is clearly the way to go, even if the posting method is seriously convoluted in its efforts to be simple. ImageVenue was simpler, but what good is it if the uploaded images only hvae a limited lifetime? I'd really like to see iPhoto conjoined with blogger in the same way that Picasa does it. Unfortunately it doesn't seem likely. What we have here is a problem of divergent business models. Apple charges for iPhoto and a .mac account which allows the kind of image and blog hosting one can for free through picasa and blogger. Ergo, Google has not built in any Mac compatibility for Picasa. This is also why I doubt Apple would build a linked function for blogger into iPhoto. One can hope I suppose.
